JWFF Meeting Thursday Sept 4, 201

Speaker: Michael J. Sebetich, Ph.D. Emeritus Professor of Biology William Paterson Universi


Mike will be speaking to the club on entomology (bugs) found in local rivers.
He will present actual insects and their fly counterparts to help anglers decipher which flies are the most appropriate to use during selected seasons. 

Mike earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and a Ph.D. degree in Ecology from Rutgers University. He previously was an Aquatic Biologist with the U.S Geological Survey, Professor for 35 years at William Paterson University and has held positions in local organizations such as the Passaic County Open Space Committee, Hawthorne Shade Tree Committee and Hawthorne Environmental Commission. Currently, he serves on the Passaic River Coalition, New Jersey Highlands Council and is a member of JWFF and EJTU. He was an U.S. Army, officer with two years active duty and a Vietnam Veteran. Mike is also the Former VFW Post Commander Hawthorne, NJ.
