JWFF Meeting Notice - Thursday Nov 3rd 2016

Time: 6:30 PM
Place: Ridgewood United Methodist Church
100 Dayton St.
Ridgewood, NJ 07450

Subject:  Fishing the Upper West Branch

Speaker:  Dave Corrado

Dave is passionate about the outdoors and spends many days both in the field and on the stream. A NYS licensed fishing and hunting guide, he has been fishing since he was 5. He took an interest in fly fishing as a teenager and his first casting & tying lessons from Eric Leiser at the Fly Fisherman’s Bookcase in Croton, NY at 14 (1977). He has a broad range of fishing experience having spent time on lakes, in the surf and 12 years running sport fishing boats from 25’ - 43’ for Marlin and Tuna in the Northeast Canyons.

In 2000 he decided it was time to choose and that’s when he got serious about fly fishing. His pursuit of finned quarry has taken him to the Bahamas, Alaska, the Florida Keys as well as several trips to some hallowed western waters. While he is always willing to wet a line his first love is for dry fly fishing with the long rod on his favorite Catskill waters.

When he’s not on the river he can be found in the duck marsh or on the deer stand. Dave is also a NYS hunter safety instructor and gives Wilderness survival seminars.

Dave is available for guiding fishing from April thru October offering both walk wade and float trips.
