Frederic Thorner has taught beginners to fly fish at the Orvis New York school for more than a dozen years.
He is an outdoor writer and illustrator who has written feature articles for American Angler and created illustrations for Field and Stream,
Wild Outdoor World, Bugle,
The Conservationist and others.
He is a past president of the New York City chapter of Trout Unlimited and an ardent conservationist.
