Born and raised in Bergen County New Jersey, my fly fishing pursuit began at a young age of 13 years old after receiving a 7 foot 6 inch "Brook Trout" model Orvis as a Bar Mitzvah present . I've been working in fly fishing retail since I was seventeen on a part time basis at Ramsey Outdoor Store. That was 36 years ago. Fly fishing is so embedded in my life experiences that I proposed to my wife on a bonefish flat, the engagement ring hidden in the fly box. Fly fishing is a true way of life for me, not just a hobby.
My experience has brought me all over the world from the very tip of South America in Argentina to Iceland ..from the Kola Peninsula to British Columbia. Globally I've fished almost 30 countries and 9 islands in the Bahamas.
I'm just as happy with a 15 foot ten weight Spey Rod on the East Ranga' in Iceland or 7 foot three weight on Armstrongs in Montana.
I've taught 100s of people to cast for FREE and all are welcome for a FREE lesson at the store. I love to give back to a pursuit that has given so much to me.
The best tip I can give anybody is "Make your first cast the best". A good cast is earned, not luck
Home Pool: If you can't find me I'm probably in the Catskills.
